Mrs. Katie Drexel shines brightly among our caring and committed teacher aides. For years, Katie has been a pillar of kindness, patience, and dedication in our school community. She has an incredible way with students and a natural ability to connect with everyone she meets. Katie consistently goes above and beyond to support both students and staff. Whether she’s lending a hand in the classroom, stepping in to help a colleague, or providing reassurance to a child who needs a little extra TLC, Katie does it all with warmth and professionalism. She is flexible, dependable, and always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed—often anticipating what others need before being asked. Each day begins and ends with Katie helping students feel safe and cared for. From her morning arrival duty, where she greets children with a smile, to her afternoon dismissal role ensuring every child boards the right bus home, Katie’s dedication is constant. In between, she provides critical classroom support in first grade, working closely with her teacher partner to create a nurturing and structured learning environment. She guides students with patience, encourages them through struggles, and celebrates their successes—helping every child feel confident and capable. Even after her classroom responsibilities end, Katie continues to serve. She can often be found in the office assisting with students who haven’t yet been picked up, demonstrating the same compassion and attentiveness that define her entire day. Katie embodies the best of Franklin Elementary—kind, empathetic, hard-working, and devoted to helping every child feel seen, supported, and valued.
